I've driven by a million times but finally stopped in today for lunch and was extremely glad I did! Excellent customer service, friendly folks behind the counter. Food made right in front of you and quickly. Started with conch fritters, buffalo shrimp and then shared fried clam basket. Everything was delicious. Coleslaw was some of the best I've had and my husband said his beer was ice cold.

Hadn't been to Tarks in many years and decided to give it a try for lunch. For what it is, it's excellent! The combination fried fish - shrimp, clams and grouper was perfectly fried. Loved the curly fries and coleslaw. Friendly service, exceptional value. I'll be back soon.

Love community driven places like this. I saw everyone walk in and greet the server and cook like they have been coming here for years. No you are not gonna get the best food in the world but what you do get is a solid meal and a sense of community every time. Def coming back

Back again. This time with a friend. Not busy on a Thursday afternoon around 3. We both started with a cup of "House made" New England Clam Chowder. Pretty Good $5.99 Came with Oyster Crackers. ORDERED: Grouper Dinner with coleslaw and onion rings instead of fries. $16.99 +$2.99 for the rings. Mine Fried. Friends Blackened. He liked it. Now that I have had it fried, I prefer it blackened. Fried, "for me" is too crunchy and the batter lacked flavor. I would prefer a cornmeal dusting. All in, the meal was good. Will be back for sure.

WOW! Needless to say I absolutely loved this place! Busy and you still were attended to quickly by staff. They have daily specials and I was in luck that I caught the raw oyster special. The chef and staff were fabulous- Brianna really held the joint down! I also had some shrimp and the charbroils oysters. This place has a beach vibe, indoor and outdoor seating. Cannot wait to go back! PS- there are non seafood options like chicken, hamburgers etc so everyone can enjoy in your party! Lastly! Their homemade cocktail sauce was the bomb and I normally hate cocktail sauce!

I've lived in Broward County all my life and have never been here before. We were in the area and were hungry so we decided to come here. Upon entering, it smelled so strongly of a fish market that I wasn't sure that I wanted to stay but am glad that I did because the food was very good! They have counter seating inside and tables outside. We sat at the counter in front of the guy making the food. Everything was made fresh. The beer battered grouper was so flaky and delicious and the hush puppies were excellent. There wasn't anything that we did not enjoy. We didn't realize how much food you get and were glad that we were sharing. Even sharing, we had leftovers to take home which heated up very well in our air fryer. Tip: I wouldn't sit right in front of the door because I noticed that whenever the door opened, a wave of hot air hit you. We sat a couple of seats to the right and could feel the heat.

First time here while on vacation. Small place and it was very busy. A few tables outside and inside - seating was pretty cramped. Ordered the snow crab, tark burger with cheese, 2 chicken tenders with fries, fried chicken wings. The food was good, but found it a bit pricey though.

Wow the last time we visited Tarks was 2008 and 2009! The place looks exactly the same, still divey as ever and w/ the same local charm - and the prices naturally went up. In 2009, the fried seafood combo was $8.95 - now it's $16.99. All the staff were super friendly. The place is still tiny - it's either the counter inside or the few tables outside. Inside, be careful of the floors - it was slippery when we were there. SHRIMP ON BAR-B - $15.99 Fresh tiger shrimp on skewers w/ BBQ sauce & garlic butter. Served w/ curly fries & cole slaw. The shrimp was very good! BEER BATTERED FISH FRY - $18.99 Fresh grouper dipped in beer batter mix. Also served w/ curly fries & cole slaw. Fish was good. FRIED COMBO - $16.99 Combo of fresh beer-battered grouper (1), fried shrimp (3), & deep fried clam strips ... also w/ curly fries & cole slaw. Fish was good. But the shrimp & clams tasted like packaged seafood, and the clams were way overcooked. I'd opt for a different dish next time. This joint has been around since 1966 - definitely a classic!
